The PlayStation VR2 has been launched by Sony, and here's what our first impressions are.

Other new products from the manufacturer include a virtual reality module and two controllers that appear to be a significant upgrade over the previous generation of devices.

PSVR has been given a new look, thanks to a design announcement by Sony. This time around, the virtual reality headset is accompanied by two controllers, which are referred to as VR2 Sense.

'A 360-degree view supplied by the virtual world,' explains PlayStation Vice President Hidekai Nishino in an official blog post. "The design of the head module and controller corresponds to a 360-degree vision provided by the virtual world," he adds. He also stated that the design was created in order to link the gadget with the appearance of the PlayStation 5.

Also in his article, Nishino stated that the new PlayStation VR2 is focused on ergonomics, emphasizing that the tester's initial impressions were extremely positive - the system has features such as the ability to adjust the lens for greater viewing comfort, a ventilation system for reduced heat, and finally, the ability to connect to the console with a single wire.

Neither the date of delivery nor the cost of the item are currently known.
