Meta Company is required to remove unethical content
Religious leaders have urged Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to block the company's plans for a different version of Instagram aimed at involving young people. In a letter to Zuckerberg, the leaders called for the removal of "unethical content and inspiration that is not in the best interests of the children."
As it turns out, Instagram and parent company Meta Platforms, are under intense scrutiny on the potential impact on mental health, body images and user safety.
This reaction of religious institutions came after the publications of Frances Haugen, who revealed the company's internal documents about access to new users.
Major companies, including Zuckerberg's Facebook, have made numerous updates in recent months, mainly on data security.
