There are more and more rumors
Two years ago, Carl Pei, one of the company's founders, announced his retirement from OnePlus, a prominent Chinese smartphone manufacturer whose new phone models produced lines similar to those that developed while Apple enthusiasts waited for the start of sales of new iPhones. Following the success of OnePlus, Pei continued to dabble in the technological seas, launching a firm with an intriguing name at the beginning of the year called Nothing.
Up to this point, the company has only released one product, a pair of wireless headphones. However, there is increasing (unofficial) indications that Carl Pei intends to return to his "home field," that is, the smartphone market. After striking a deal with chipmaker Qualcomm this year, Nothing acquired the Essential brand, which had been founded by "Android father" Andy Rubin (the business had previously debuted the Essential Phone), and brought on former Dyson chief designer Adam Bates to lead the design team. When we combine this with the recent tweet sent by Carl Pei stating that he is "back on Android," it becomes evident what the team at Nothing is up to.
Because no information regarding Nothing Phone has been leaked yet, the media can only speculate about it. According to the Android Central website, it might be the spiritual heir of OnePlus, which was formerly popular in the United States. We may therefore anticipate a phone with powerful hardware and strong camera capabilities that, with some sacrifices, should deliver an excellent price-quality ratio. Also, they think that the item itself may be differentiated from the competition in terms of design, as the first and only Nothing device (wireless headphones) was designed with a transparent enclosure that is highly appealing. Nothing else could be created in the same or a similar manner as the Phone.
Given the intense competition in this market, as well as supply chain issues, it will be interesting to see what Nothing's plans are and what the main selling points of their first smartphone will be. Based on early indications, it appears that it will be one of the most interesting smartphones on the market. this year's presentation
