The experiment produced 59 megajoules of energy over 5 seconds (or 11 megawatts of power).

It is more than double the amount achieved in similar tests in 1997.

It is not a large amount of energy production, it is enough to boil only about 60 boilers of water. But the importance is that it confirms the design choice that has been made for a larger smelting reactor that is now being built in France.
